Lexington Kentucky Raccoon Control Situation: Hi David, we have a very large raccoon in our attic. my husband went up there and saw it! I think it might have had babies, like you talked about in your online post. It is very noisy at night and has been keeping us awake for several nights now. We were wondering if you might know of someone who does raccoon removal with possible babies in fayette county, kentucky. we live in a town called Lexington KY in fayette county. any help would be very much appreciated! We found a raccoon in our shed attic this weekend and my husband chased it out and then cut the tree down that gave it access to get in the shed. He said he looked and there were no babies, but reading your article it says it can be difficult to find them. We couldn't tell if it was female or male, as soon as he got it out the the eve if the attic it climbed the tree and then ran when the tree fell. Hopefully we won't have any babies. Is it too soon for them babies to be born? Any advice if the raccoon comes back, I have 3 small children.

I had raccoons in my attic that were professionally exterminated. I have the protective gear to go up there and remove all the insulation and feces. I wanted to know where to get the cleaners and how I can apply them so Its assured that my new house will be safe to live in. I wanted to have it done professionally but I just don't have the money. Also, a raccoon pooped in our pool last night and after getting it out of the pool and dumping a super overdose of chlorine in the pool I later learned that if it had the roundworm parasite, my efforts were in vain. We were able to recover some of the poop in a baggie and it is sealed up and in a secluded part of our refrigerator. We called our vet to find out about having it tested for the parasite, but I don't think they have a clue. Can you direct me to whom I might send a sample to so we can put to rest whether our pool is filled with hazardous waste or not?
